I always wondered why the artists that I wanna tend to lean towards creating their oc's furry. Is there like some cultural significance? I read somewhere that perhaps it has something to do with them being anxiety-ridden, "neurodivergent", adhd and autistic. But Im not really sure what to make of this phenomenal.

They find themselves humans to be hairless ugly pale alien-like weird creatures or plain boring, furries (or ケモノ) look cuter and more inviting, have many varieties (patterns, shapes, colors, species), but I bet autism plays a role in this too, I can't really tell if the Internet contributed to an AuDHD epidemic of a generation though.
