Topic: How do I become "cool" in todays standard
+izxist — 1.8 year ago #64,541
So yeah serious question how do I become cool? Like the goal right now is to be cool in all aspects of life whether IRL or internet: constantly having agreeable takes that my comments will always hand me "W" "king you dropped this" etc responses. That both men and women alike will gravitate towards me regardless of their political affiliation, sexual orientation, etc.
I got some basic idea:
-cant be unhinge in the slightest
-cant be an incel/simp/beggar(this one is obvious)
-cant be creepy or even mildly weird unless it reads well as quirky.
-have to like to watch/do some kind of physical sport.
But all those things ive listed are just assumptions. What do you think? Whats the advice? Im willing create a whole new social build and override certain characteristics/personality if need be.

More importantly, what drove OP to ask this question
here?

Probably to find some unbiased answer. Sometimes places like this can offer more insight than say reddit. But its circumstantial

If I see comments like this, all I can think of are braindead zoomer 'tards who are easily influenced with no personality of their own.
If you wanna be a corporate bootlicker on social media, go for it, but I really don't care about celebrities who try to maintain their social status, charisma, etc. they're usually the most uninteresting people who are not worth talking about unless you're surrounded by normies bringing up their names. You'd still be popular but remain in your own bubble where outsiders are uncomfortable to be around you. I know ‘cool ≠ popular’ but I just had to point it out.
The advice should be obvious but maybe not so straightforward to do in practice: be attractive (makeover, workout, skin care, hairstyle, clothing), authentic (don't lie to make yourself look better), don't use aggressive or derogatory language, avoid unhealthy habits (smoking, porn, bad diet, alcohol, excessive screen time), be more outgoing, try not to bother those who are busy or anti-social.
Remember, being “cool” is not about impressing others or seeking validation through clout chasing.

Also I personally prefer those who are idiosyncratic/unconventional (but not obnoxiously quirky), something about societal norms feel icky and you notice how the attitudes of people have changed every decade, almost no reason to keep up with being relevant, just saying…

What you just described pretty much
is impressing people though, just in a subtle, subconscious way.

I guess it can't be helped since first impressions matter, you gotta look approachable to people
and not as some bloodthirsty serial killer.

Weren't quite a few serial killers actually good-looking normal-seeming people though?

The coolest people I have worked with had good style or played their personality type very well with a little restraint. They weren't the loudest, tryhards, or rehearsed - it was natural.
