Those of you who have been under a rock for the past week or two might be asking, "what's Oh Internet?"
-Oh Internet used to be Encyclopedia Dramatica.
-Oh Internet is run by the morbidly obese girlvinyl (pic related) who has now switched to going by her actual name Sherrod DeGrippo because she thinks she deserves to be rich and famous for "her" creation.
-DeHippo has decided that all the articles anons wrote, all the pictures anons drew that were ripped from the chans, all the copypasta, and all of the notoriety ED gained from being Anon's history book; these things are now her property despite most of it being used without the actual creators' permission.
-Much like our old friend Kimmo Alm, this sysop has sent out a wave of DMCA nastygrams and fraudulent abuse reports to service providers to force other sites offline.
-Also like Kimmo, Sherrod is mentally unstable and has various emotional issues as well as delusions of grandeur and unwarranted self importance.
What can you do to help?
It's simple, really: preserve what hambeast sysop is trying to run away with and hoard for herself.
-Save images and related content to your hard drive, burn it to CDs; treat it as an important backup. Being organized about it will help.
-Harvest additional content from chans and archives to restore what is being slashed and burned.
-Copy paste volumes of text; if you have the text out of an article and the images saved into one folder by themselves then it can easily be restored to a wiki article later.
-Treat it the same as you would treat Anontalk; make it as lifeless as possible. If you see anyone spamvertising Oh Internet on chans or message boards then copy paste the first half of this thread in response.

Well, actually i think it's pretty in keeping with their theme: offend everyone. Run with me here, they offended everyone BUT the chans. But, how do offend trolls? They are unphased by everything.
To offend them, you must erase them. ED was a cultural dump for trolls and it was written in troll-ese. And then, once there is no culture they can start what they seek to do to our future: remove all anonymity and privacy from our daily lives. Privacy and anony are already well trampled today, but give it 50 years. There will be no such thing.
So, it all started with the removal of ED, which I have proven to be one great elaborate attempt to offend the entire internet.

I was quite a contributor on ED, but I was banned for something quite predictable: editing the page on girlvinyl, saying that she's a fat attention whore and stuff like that. It wasn't like my stuff was irrelevant, it was the only ED page (as far as I was aware) that had almost no insults on the said person. She was a hypocrite back then too, especially when she made an SFW clone of ED.
So I don't see her actually doing it for the laughs. She just spent too much money in ED without gaining profit, and she's now desperately trying something toned down. At the very best, ohinternet is going to get bought just like KYM. AT the worst, she'll get popular (truly possible).
But it won't be "ruined". There was a pretty distinct reason why Kimmo's e-life was ruined so much. He's the online equivalent of the fat kid that doesn't hit back when bullied. It was way too easy to make him react and he was too dumb to understand he's being made a fool, just like cwc. Sherrod may be fat, but undoubtedly unorganized charade of anonymous is not going to do much damage to her.
