Reminds me of this, but it looks like you used css animation instead of svg?

css, when the whole gear train is animated along with the verge it'll look like this:
https://youtu.be/tYSphNR6XoY
https://youtu.be/OMblSotNRYs
this were made in a physics sim and driven by a weight. the css one is simulated like the svg one, faking gear interactions.

We need one of these - for sure eye do

i have the whole thing animated now at
https://rebelennui.com. it also fetches the weather which a friend requested. it's super basic, but you can decline it permission to location data. anyway, it's all client side.
i also looked up the reference to the gear generator tool which is here:
https://geargenerator.com/beta/
it's nice, i paid the few bucks for download access and made this:
https://storage.googleapis.com/clock_bucket/gearset.svg
which is very nice and clean compared to the raster gears i made in a drawing program. it can't do escape wheel profiles, so it looks wonky with one edited in for it:
https://storage.googleapis.com/clock_bucket/Illustration16.png
It appears to be animated similarly, i think the big difference is that i'm using a set Interval function and stepping the animations every 1000ms to try and keep the animations tied to the clock, but it's not perfect. i'll either need to run everything off of a 1000ms timer and just get the accurate time once and let it run fast/slow like a real clock would, which would be kinda neat having it regulated by the period swing of the pendulum based on a formula instead of the system clock, but if i'm doing that i might as well use a javascript physics library and for real... simulate... instead of fake simulate... a simulation of a clock...
i wish i knew how to code, it would make this whole project a lot easier.
anyway, thanks for pointing me in the direction of this guy's svg gear generator. i originally started wanting to use SVGs, but i got far enough along half assing it with pngs to see if i could make it terribly far and i didn't try and find utilities like this.
By the way, this kinda started because depressionman called me a liar when i said i was a clockmaker. and so i said i'd make him a clock, and i made on in a physics sandbox game for children.
It's technically a 'deadbeat' mechanism. and the case is called a Teardrop Tavern clock. so this is the "Wall Hanging 'Deadbeat' Miller's Teardrop Regulator Tavern Clock. And if it was made from wood, it would look great in hackberry.

> because depressionman
I ended up in deeeep shit doo doo with a Mod on MC because I talked a couple3 of his so called friends into snooping into his medicine cabinet to take pics of the many and I mean MANY Drugs he was on for such depression - No doubt the many made him much worse rather than better based on sharing all of that with a MD
Shrink who used to post on MC back in the day -

Nice. I could make vectors of the non-gear parts, if you want.
Technically I could probably do the escape wheel, but it would just be a facsimile and not mathematically accurate as far as the spacing of the teeth goes because I've haven't yet figured out how (or even if) rotational transforms around an anchor point are possible in svg. ·Shes Jubilee Starshine bitches (OP) — 2.5 years ago, 3 hours later, 1 week after the original post[T] [B] #641,653

heck yeah, i'd be glad to pay you to knock off a set of Erwin Sattler hands. lol. i thought i had a pic, i'll find one. just a clean, crisp what're called orbit style hands.

Oh, yeah. at least with street drugs you know what dangerous side effects to expect. if fact, that's what you're buying them for. i don't trust drugs that they say are supposed to make you feel normal. like, i don't want drugs to make me feel normal. i want drugs to fuck me the hell up.
