Easy. Turn your hobby into a profession. If you have nothing you adore doing, then hit a library for some great ideas.
Once many years ago I had an Acquaintance who invented a truly amazing salt and pepper shaker. Design rolled off the lines directly into the best stores on the planet. He made a fortune. Alas he was ill equipped when it came to spending the money.
Just like many musicians who quickly come into a small fortune overnight, they were never equipped to handle the problems too much money brings.
Now in the mean time get some job as a bridge to moving up and onward. Contact with people and a chance to observe what works and what doesn't. Be prepared to fail and move on. I on the side discovered I could make money in the stock market. Alas that did not excite me at all. It is a form of gambling and that is/was not for me. Sure I still do because one must if one makes some money. However I now let experts manage the investments.
Oh yea I made a small fortune. However it's shocking how much it costs to send children to university's. Real Estate investments have truly paid off. However that as a way of making money is beyond boring, and dealing with plumbers and construction people is a REAL DRAG.
I am just very lucky I turned a hobby as a child into a world of fun and profit. Yep it comes with downsides, as everyone that needs such talent is so over demanding. They want results faster than the speed of light. Unrealistic expectations and all.

For both men and women a most
Difficult task Only when a GF asked me to try that did I get a clue how painful that can be. She is into Yoga and she found it near impossible.

You need to spend some time researching for something you would find very interesting/exciting. You need to stick with it so no use picking something boring to begin with. That said - Back in the day I was married to a wonderful gal and she felt there was just One Road and one must find it and stay on the path. Me just the opposite. While Hiking or a Mountain climb - Finding a hidden path off any maps always called me to check it out. Sometimes of course that was a dead end.
Work wise I refused to end up type casted. Companies often would offer jobs and then expect people to stick with that specialty for their lifetime. I wanted to do this and then see something even more exciting and jump on it. Only failure and it was a Monster of a failure was when I shopped around for a consulting job as a Robots
Expert Not that I wanted to say I was but they only pay consultants who are EXPERTS.
So, I kind of fudged a resume which contained a Patent in Robotics - Therefore anyone looking at it would say hey here is proof this guy knows what he says. Alas I am a lousy mechanic and Robots are Mechanical. Mine required a sound knowledge of vacuum systems and hydraulics'. Gears and such. The electronics I was totally OK with including the eyes the Robot needed and it needed a world class set of eyes. But the Mechanics forced me to work night and day 7 days a week 18 -20 hours a day just to keep up with my team. I had to fake it every day for almost one full year.
Because the Robot made it to a show in Japan and WOWED Everyone, the company demanded even more of my time. I was at the point of Hairy Carry mispeled on papoose. Worst year of my Life!!!
Bless the Gods cause some other company looking for an expert, MISSREAD My Cover letter to my Resume. Made me an offer of a lifetime. And if NOT for my year tied up with that Robot (Its job was a concept only to prove the state of the art) It had NO actually purpose sales wise.
This is just an example of a Road Traveled that ended up as a Epic Failure on my behalf. It did lead to adding to technology I usually do not discuss. NOR DID I INVENT ONE DAMN NEW THING - I just took something from a University class that also had No Purpose at the time. I found a purpose for someone's theoretical invention. Decades later that invention was turned into Electronics ALL of us use daily. Its value was of no interest to me until I needed it for the Robot. Then US Gov said HOT DAMN IF THE ROBOT CAN DO THAT IT CAN DO ....
It does
Writing this for someone who needs a boost in her work in technology cause she can put it to use and make herself a hero at work.

Sometimes what one wishes for, is not always good when you get your wish.
