Further development (From Wikipedia)
On November 12, 2011 co-founder Zhitomirskiy committed suicide, at the age of twenty-two. Reports linked pressures related to Diaspora to his death. Zhitomirskiy's mother, Inna Zhitomirskiy, said, "I strongly believe that if Ilya did not start this project and stayed in school, he would be well and alive today." Diaspora co-founder Maxwell Salzberg disagreed. Salzberg stated, "Yes, I agree that being a startup founder is stressful. But it wasn't the stress of work that killed Ilya. He had his own issues. He was sick." Zhitomirskiy's mother, Inna Zhitomirskiy, did not comment on reports of his history of mental illness

A Lot to read and I find it fascinating. Moderating such a site that is so decentralized ends up with problems like this which have NEVER BEEN SOLVED.

Action against ISIS

The distributed design attracted members of the militant Islamist extremist group ISIS, in 2014, after their propaganda campaigns were censored by Twitter
Diaspora developers issued a statement urging users to report offensive content and helping pod admins to identify users' accounts associated with ISIS.
Since the network is federated, there is no central point of control for blocking content. On 20 August 2014, the Diaspora Foundation stated that "all of the larger pods have removed
the [ISIS]-related accounts and posts.

Editor note: [ISIS] Found a simple workaround to the blocking by just dropping [ISIS] as a Moniker and it continues with its full agenda and this makes it near impossible to block under BECAUSE OF THIS
Covenant:

Freedom

You can be whoever you want to be in diaspora*. Unlike some networks, you don’t have to use your real identity. You can interact with people in whatever way you choose. The only limit is your
imagination. diaspora* is also Free Software, giving you liberty over how you use it.

They now 859,000+ users based on just one quick check (time limited to check for the real number)

That's literally the whole point of the fediverse, you can choose a server that suits you.

That's just one mastodon server, the fediverse is all federated servers.

All the mastodon servers in the fediverse make about 850 million posts per month (mastodon.fediverse.observer/stats) and if you include other server software in the fediverse, it's well over a billion per month.

As you must know I do a lot of CopyPasta here and elsewhere (Political forums) and I was aware I left out #5 yet for the life of me I have no clue why.

#5 is Instagram

https://chartmasters.org/rihanna-albums-a…
Rihanna albums and songs sales as of 2021
Jun 2, 2021 · All in all, Rihanna ‘s 8 studio albums have sold a total of 33.5 million for an average of 4.2 million per album. Certainly not a bad number by any means, even if not as big as the likes Taylor Swift or Adele. …
Rihanna Net Worth
$1.7 Billion (Rihanna reportedly owns 50% of the partnership and the brand is worth $2-3 billion. She also owns 30% of a lingerie brand called Savage X Fenty which is currently worth around $1 billion.)
Justin Beiber - Dang "Bieber's nail polish line sold one million bottles less than two months after its release."
Beiber, a Canadian "he possesses an O-1 visa for temporary resident status, based on "extraordinary ability or achievement" in a field''

Justin is listed as the 25th richest-singers #6. Rihanna and this shocks me because (only in PM will I share why) # 1.0 Herb Alpert.
Back at age just 16 with a driver's license I ventured because of needing a break too much work - Too Tijuana and fell in love with the Tijuana Brass sound only to later discover how it was ripped off by Herb Alpert EXACTLY He did not try to hide the fact of where his new music came from. Wiki says " Alpert is the only musician to hit No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 as both a vocalist ("This Guy's in Love with You", 1968) and an instrumentalist ("Rise", 1979)."

So being a bottom line, kind of person that list SUCKS because so many on that ONE list takes total worth from the Music and other business ventures and Number 1 is not based on talent alone. Then again "Madonna #2 Richest "also remains the only woman in history to have two solo concerts with 100,000 sold tickets" (Wikipedia) and she is one hell of a business woman.

Implementing activitypub and joining the fediverse would provide several benefits to Tinychan and its users:

Increased visibility: By joining the fediverse, Tinychan would become accessible to a wider audience and potentially attract new users.

Better privacy and security: Activitypub allows for secure and private communication between different services, which would enhance the anonymity and safety of Tinychan users.

Interoperability: Activitypub provides a standard protocol for communication between different social media services, allowing Tinychan to easily interact with other platforms, such as Mastodon or PeerTube.

> Masterdon recently had a total of a billion posts. That's equal to 2 days on Twitter.

Things are about to get more real in 2023 on social media.

The rise in the popularity of BeReal made platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat realize that people are getting sick of the superficial nature of social media. So they rolled up their sleeves and incorporated features to curb the fakeness.

Will adopting the dual camera feature help them? Only time will tell.

But one thing is sure; content creators and user-generated content will continue to be the best choice for brands to promote their offerings more organically, as they were in 2022.

The rise of content creators led to more subscription-based services, monetizing, and collaborating opportunities within social media platforms like Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram.

What’s more?

Many platforms introduced new features to strengthen social commerce and community-building initiatives.
