I don't hate them and there were certainly moments I like as a Star Wars fan, but they were so unorganized and the switch between directors caused them to be disconnected from themselves. They honestly don't even feel like sequels since they could easily be neglected when watching a marathon of the movies due to being so far into the future that nobody really cares. And any actor in the films from the original ones feel like they are portraying those characters near the end of their lifespan (spoilers: no further from the truth).
