Also I had to get a root canal this year. Somehow I cracked the very back tooth.

Oh no! I'm glad they could save the tooth! While root canals can be unpleasant, it's always better than having the tooth yanked!

Yeah, the procedure wasn't bad actually, especially compared to the pain that preceded it. The crack didn't show up on the regular x-ray because of the angle so the dentist thought it was cavities causing the pain, so he numbed me up to fix those but the cold rinsing water got into the crack and that was absolute torture. The root canal was a cakewalk by comparison.
