Topic: How many people here actually miss Bert?
+Anonymous A — 4.1 years ago #61,996
He was fun to ridicule for his retarded beliefs and his refusal to seek any kind of assistance during his time on the streets. I have never seen a man who hesitate to seek out help concerning potential employment or even basic necessities all while thinking that a former U.S. president was going to provide for him when he has never showed any interest or care in the world concerning the homeless population of the country. I honestly miss his beef with Syntax (rest in peace) as it was like two stupid monkeys arguing with one another flinging their shit. I think what I am trying to say is that I really really miss Bert.

Syntax is still alive, despite what you might want to believe.
And, no, I don't miss bert. The community needs all the lolcows it can get, but below a certain intelligence level, it stops being funny and just sad. But mostly it just stops being funny. And the last thing we need is more unfunny shit.
Matt is about the right level, although some days he's threshold. What we really need are more people like Kimmo. Although sadly, people like him are probably less than one in a million.

Bert was a parody onto himself and actually made the conservatives look bad. That is saying something. Bert truly had potential to be somebody, but instead he chose to blow his funds on drugs and Everclear. And you're saying this as if to say that there was anything funny about this website since it's inception years ago. This also applies for that other illegal clone with the blue and purple skin. None of these places are that funny and you only think so because your life is so hollow that you have nothing better to do than poke fun at people who are beneath you. I'm honestly surprised that the server hosts for both websites haven't shut either place down.

I would tend to believe that Syntax is still alive. But Bert could very well be dead. Years back he use to drink huge amounts of hard liquor and he would be about 65-70 years old now. Syntax lived pretty clean life, Bert not so much.

Syntax will outlive Bert and Matt.
