I don't know where this meme that insulin costs $1200 / month comes from.

I literally bought 8 vials of insulin last week for $25 / vial at walmart. This will last me several months. This is the retail price without insurance or any state programs and they've sold it at this price for years. You do not even need a prescription (in every state except Indiana, fuck that shit hole).

Try it yourself. Go to your nearest walmart pharmacy and ask for Novlin N and Novilin R. They'll ring you up without asking any questions or even asking for your ID.

Brand name insulin costs more and this is what doctors prescribe. But the generic is no less effective. It's all a huge scam and I wish more people with diabetes would learn about the options that are hiding in plain sight. If you know of any diabetics on insulin, please tell them about this.

I want to say, there are serious problems with the health care system and I'm not claiming otherwise. But the price of insulin is not one of them. And spreading this meme just harms diabetics because if you're constantly told insulin is unaffordable, you don't think to check for yourself if that's actually the case. And then people ironically get stuck paying $1000+ / month. Most doctors I've spoken to do not know about the nuances of insulin prices and will just prescribe brand names without thinking (no accident the system is constructed like this).

I agree. The sooner we eliminate the liberals the sooner we can have male guardianship laws to better protect women and guarantee men the right to at least two women. I'm tired of men always getting the shaft because we're demonized for being ourselves. Women need to learn a hard lesson about life.
