Topic: Bunch of solutions
+Anonymous A — 4.1 years ago #61,938

Whats my alternative to define 3d environment and its collission without mesh or voxel since my engine has not yet defined those? its purely 2d engine atm with some basic math, and if i am too put in a whole 3d again i ll have to do a bunch of things, basically looking for something cheap and lighter so maybe i can deliver more content with it and not push the deadline further.
something as long as it has normals to orient towards or whatever
i also might went on and test a bunch of alternatives, bsp, octree, kd tree(though not these) but i need to list out my options first.

LOL this is my PhD speciality!!! I did these for thousands of hours! What you need to do is alter the angle of subtusion so that the incidence angle is greater than pi/3. As the angle increases, the fluidocity drops slowly then suddenly rises around pi/3. Be careful though, that angle can cause breakage of the subcarrier so you will probably need to increase the wall thickness to more than 2.5 mm.
