Topic: improvising by memory?

other than playing it straight on piano, how do i improvise this sort of songs? i know the song by humming and i know when it is right or wrong... but i cant seem to improvise it or play it as precisely despite so... is muscle memory a thing or is there anything else i need to know to be able to play/come up with chords,for a song as correct/nicely as possible?there is frequency ratio and consonancy, are they important?
