Have you considered getting an entry-level job in the “massage” industry? $100 for a 30 minute job is typical.

Or did the people you talked to “donate tokens” that added up to $100?

Was it for a study? If not, what was it for?
I got 50quid for a half hour answering questions about media consumption for a marketing agency so I believe it.

Paid studies are a well-known thing. Pepple do them all the time. Often they're from medical labs or universities but sometimes marketers do them as well. This one was actually advertised on Reddit, and it was in London before I had gotten my uk citizenship so was a nice way to get some pocket change.
More to the point...are you so sheltered that you think every normal fucking thing I mention must be a lie? Have you ever been outside? Interacted with society? I'm not even saying anything outlandish or unusual. Do you live under a fucking rock?

Reddit is The Source for all that is factual.

Yeah, it was for a study on the advantages & disadvantages of teleconferencing during the pandemic.
I've also applied for a part-time summer job which will pay $4,000 for twenty days work (four hours per night on the evening shift). Not sure if I'll get it, but keep your fingers crossed for me.

Nobody ever said it was? A company advertised their study on reddit, and it was legitimate. They interviewed me on film for a half hour or so about media/ad consumption/reception and gave me a 50 quid bill after. Studies like this happen all the fucking time.
There's an ongoing one (like for the past several years) to improve Bixby (Samsung's Siri) voice recognition, and they pay you $35 for a half hour of reading phrases in certain tones into a microphone. It's advertised on a facebook group. This is normal shit, dude. I'm concerned about how little life experience you must have.
@previous (A)
Very cool! What's the job? Good luck, I hope you get it.
