Blame the technology upgrades that have come in recent years. In times gone by, it would have been difficult to access the internet. Technical skills (albeit a few) were required to access the internet. This barrier to entry filtered a lot of airheads from the web. As time goes by, the technical skills required to access the internet declined and the state of the internet changed for the worse, forever. Now, barriers of entry must be created to foster better websites online. The fun parts of the internet still exist, but they are created in the newest pieces of technology, and usually move to the next “big thing” before it really gets big.
