Topic: I called Qualcomm and explicitly asked for a professional reference for you-know-who.

+Anonymous A6.1 years ago #55,726

They responded by saying that you-know-who never, ever, worked for Qualcomm. No employment, no contract, not even as an applicant or interviewee.

+Anonymous B6.1 years ago, 3 minutes later[T] [B] #584,953

Why would Qualcomm tell you about who worked there and not?

+Anonymous C6.1 years ago, 9 minutes later, 12 minutes after the original post[T] [B] #584,954

@previous (B)
It's not uncommon for another job you applied for to call your job for a reference.

I'm sure that's exactly what OP did too.

+Syntax6.1 years ago, 34 minutes later, 48 minutes after the original post[T] [B] #584,976

Nice try. OPutz

Out of curiosity I called them on the phone just to C what an operator wood say. They of course show no such person. Then I said I think he used to be an employee.
She was so busy with calls she said to call back.

They DO keep a file for operators of former employees and it's common for a company to call for a reference - But of course that requires YOU fill out a form and send it to them for review - You have to be a LEGIT Company asking HR for what they can say re verification.

Of course you only having the skills to work minimum wage when U can work which is most likely NEVER CAUSE U Fooly admit U R a worthless Bum no one wood ever hire with no work skills nor did you even complete hi-school

Get you Mom to gin up a legit company and find out how to check on references and then U will get what you want from the Q until then stick 2 changing ur moms diapers and please to not pack up her feces and send that to Matthew Rotsteet Miller for oil processing as that is about the only thing his Dad can do now that the OIL Biz is CRASHED DEAD DEAD n more Dead

Simply find someone in your family that owns a legit biz who has the legal rite to contact Qualcomm Hr

<-----Without the number

Human Resources has lots of people assigned to give out references but of course ONLY To Let people making such requests.

https://rffe.qualcomm.com/contact/company-related-inquiry

I am not going to make it easy for you to bother them - After all U R a bottom feeder that never even graduated Middle school.

You could talk Mardsen Miller into making contact with the company. He being a convicted Felon, Nos how to scheme for stuff he ain't entitled2

Now the bad news for you - Employment verification Past and Present is very EASY IF and only IF you have the persons Social Security number. Full name and SS# and it's super easy - Without the number

I've talked to 3 different ladies as of 2 weeks ago, for a total of maybe 12 calls. A couple of them seem to be getting a bit cross.
I pretend to be a different person every time.

Why are you stalking syntax? I do not care. Stalking is totally acceptable behavior, unless you break some silly law. Otherwise no one cares. if it makes you happy I am ok with that.
Let me make a suggestion. Calling any company switchboard is just a waste of time. You need human resources.

it's ok, it's not like he's asking them where he lives. He's just asking if he had ever worked there before

The person that answers the phone probably resembles one of the ladies in this old photo. Somewhat dated. Still they are hired to say hello and connect the caller with someone employed. Maybe they are allowed to say have a nice day, but probably not much else. Only human resources can provide information about past employees. HR people follow rules regulated by gov laws and other bullshit like that. If you know the rules you probably can get what you need. If you don't they may say have a nice day.

Look at each of those women carefully. Someone married each of them. Hard to imagine what kind of loser married women...I have run out of words to continue this thought.

Mark Twain Never let my schooling g.jpg@previous (A)
"SPELLING"

"I don't see any use in having a uniform and arbitrary way of spelling words. We might as well make all clothes alike and cook all dishes alike. Sameness is tiresome; variety is pleasing. I have a correspondent whose letters are always a refreshment to me, there is such a breezy unfettered originality about his orthography. He always spells Kow with a large K. Now that is just as good as to spell it with a small one. It is better. It gives the imagination a broader field, a wider scope. It suggests to the mind a grand, vague, impressive new kind of a cow."

"I have had an aversion to good spelling for sixty years and more, merely for the reason that when I was a boy there was not a thing I could do creditably except spell according to the book. It was a poor and mean distinction and I early learned to disenjoy it. I suppose that this is because the ability to spell correctly is a talent, not an acquirement. There is some dignity about an acquirement, because it is a product of your own labor. It is wages earned, whereas to be able to do a thing merely by the grace of God and not by your own effort transfers the distinction to our heavenly home---where possibly it is a matter of pride and satisfaction but it leaves you naked and bankrupt."

"I never had any large respect for good spelling. That is my feeling yet. Before the spelling-book came with its arbitrary forms, men unconsciously revealed shades of their characters and also added enlightening shades of expression to what they wrote by their spelling, and so it is possible that the spelling-book has been a doubtful benevolence to us."

"...ours is a mongrel language which started with a child's vocabulary of three hundred words, and now consists of two hundred and twenty-five thousand; the whole lot, with the exception of the original and legitimate three hundred, borrowed, stolen, smouched from every unwatched language under the sun, the spelling of each individual word of the lot locating the source of the theft and preserving the memory of the revered crime."
