Here is Southern California ONE HAS TO BE VIGILANT during Christmas offerings.
Its a Mexican tradition to have Tamales as Christmas dinner. There are however a large number of locals who use Pineapple or as in Photo it can be filled with Strawberries or Pineapple or a mix of various SWEET fillings. When one has taste buds read to chomp down on the real deal - Serious fillings of Kosher Pork and Green Chile's - YET one taste RUINS the whole meal.
I remember buying a dozen in a small Mexican market - at home one taste and OUT to the trash Fast
