I ASKED BLACK DUDES DIRECTLY IF THEY ARE OFFENDED BY ME USING THIS WORD, AND THEY SAID TO THEM IT IS SYNONYMOUS OR INTERCHANGABLE WITH THE WORDS 'HOMIE' OR 'BRO', AND AS LONG AS MY TONE AND CONNOTATIONS ARE NOT MEANT TO BE RACIST, SAYING 'WHAT UP, MY NIGGA?' IS LIKE SAYING WHAT UP, MUH HOMIE OR MUH BRO!
TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR WAS ASKED IN AN INTERVIEW WHAT THE ACRONYM N.I.G.G.A. IN THE TITLE OF HIS 2ND ALBUM MEANT, AND HE SAID NIGGA STANDS FOR 'NEVER IGNORANT GETTING GOALS ACCOMPLISHED', WHICH IS ACTUALLY A GOOD THING.
AS LONG AS IN YOUR HEART YOU DON'T MEAN IT IN A RACIST WAY, A WHITEBOY LIKE ME CAN QUOTE DMX AND NOT HAVE TO FEEL GUILTY OR WORRIED THAT SOMEBODY MIGHT GET OFFENDED.
