Didn't you say one time a few years ago that you had met or knew Brian Wilson back in high school? Didn't he play baseball or some sports against your school? I was just curious if you were serious or not. I got to see him in a show a few years ago and was just wondering what he was really like as a kid.

School wise not at all. Met most members of the band at Capitol Records at the time I was VP for MCA/Universal studios and that was to create Discovision (First Laserdisc recording device - Me totally Management with virtually none of my design engineering talent on that project - BUT as a result of a companies I bought to support the project, I ended up for a few weeks/months here and there in making big differences in the art of recording Rock n Roll but of course the stuff was also used for Country to Symphonies - Capitol Records became a KEY Client for recording consoles and for cranking out the Mega Millions of Cassette tapes - (High Speed tape duplication) and even a hand in the speakers Pink Floyd and others used for Road Tours - Big breakthrough in Wireless Mikes and other devices for recording.But at that time although I met many who became famous as all fuck I only got close a personal with one gal (Except I have some dear friends who got Gold records but names no one here wood know re music was/is for mass market - AND the Close and Personal was NOT an intimate relationship in the traditional sense. She has become famous again but not for her current voice and dats all I B saying.
But back to the Beach Boys - Dennis Wilson died in Marina Del Rey just inches from the first Condo I owned - Huge police mess of course and the other members of the band came over because well because and Brian remembered me so a few were invited in at not so much a good time to connect in any way except some hot tea and I forget - I don't even remember meeting Dennis but one bad member was totally sure I had -
Back then I was in a super rust to meet as many people that were recording who had issues with tech problems of the equipment so I could quick focus for a fix and get one of the companies I bought to bring to market solutions - Recording consoles use modules so it's rather easy to design some gizmo and get people to buy and install IF IF it makes a even slight improvement - Bragging because I did a couple of circuits that made a HUGE Difference at the single most important point one needs in recording (Except I never got into the Microphones themselves) That takes a Mechanical Engineer and I suck at Mechanics in general.
Maybe your thinking of some other musician I mentioned but it's RARE I name drop EXCEPT for Whoopie Goldberg and that is only because I regret NOT saying hello to her and I really really wanted to - Her eyes kept staring at me with why the fuck don't you speak to me.

Ok that's cool..no I thought it was something about school. I might be mistaken or who knows might have been clone blowing smoke at me . This was like 3/4 years ago. I knew you were from around that area so I was just curious. I saw doc on Dennis he was pretty fucked up. Brian was for that matter with drugs and stuff. Or so he says. I was just wondering about what he was like when a high schooler and playing music.

I cannot think of anyone I No that new them personally - I am soooooo glad I got away from the people in that business. Lots of fucked up music makers.
I admire the talent for sure but so many that made it big time blew their lives UP with the Money and drugs they could afford to buy.
