Folks!

I know it is difficult to discuss anything serious on here, but I will try. My question is - why do you come here? What do you get out of a forum like Tinychan?

I'll explain my reasons.

I guess for me I see this as a place where I can fool around, publish silly content, use different silly names and generally revel in whimsicality. I also, tbh, really like how the forum looks and I like its minimalist functionality.

I am turned off by the kind of viciousness, propagated by anonymity. People post provocative things on purpose, and then every thread has almost zero content. Someone will post a pic and some stupid phrase, followed by equally vapid responses.

I don't know. I mean, probably most responses to this will be like "how gay", "fuck off", but I am genuinely interested in how you folks see this place, and why do you come here regularly.

At this point I visit here because of nostalgia and to half-heartedly mess with doc. It used to be a decent place with some fun and interesting characters, almost all of whom have either left the chanosphere for good or else relocated to Minichan. The diminished moderation team on here have made poor choices, but there's no need to go into what they are because everyone already knows them (inb4: "Yeah, not banning you, [insert innumerable pedophilia references]). On doesn't like me, which is fine, but I like him, he's above anything else fair, which is exactly what a mod should be. Namefag is an absolutely terrible mod and is the reason so many have left, but he has the appearance of support because he protects the final two regulars here. The other mods seem to have abandoned ship.

All shtick (and by God there's a lot of it) aside, I miss the old days. I'm still in touch, off and on, with a couple of the old guard but have lost touch with many others. Minichan is my main forum now. I regret what happened to this place. Despite the replies in this thread, it didn't always use to be nothing more than a repository for sh*tposting and the doctor's penis obsession. Heck, it used to have gems like this:
