How do they cook prison in ramen?
+Syntax — 6.9 years ago, 51 minutes later[T] [B] #565,138
Commit a crime and find out.
A poster on MC described how he cooked Ramen in a teapot.
I recently discovered a more better way to cook those noodles by NOT following the packedge instructions.

Of course - Now I never make Ramen from just that silly package - Still even IF I did that I wood use my new and tested method.
I despise mushy noodles. Ramen noodles in the package have been fully cooked and then fried and dried - So all it takes is rehydrating - So the instructions to cook them for 2 Minutes IS TWO MINUTES TOO MUCH
Now even pulling them OUT of the Hot boiling soup at the instant they are not in the dried form - That still ends up as mushy towards the end of eating them
Now I should add - I use two packs of Noodles because I make a major Bowl of Soup with say left over meats or veggies or whatever - Can detail a actual example if necessary
That means the Mush problem ends up double
NOW What I do is simple - NO Cook Noodles at ALL - Not for one second -
I start with sauteing one Onion till brown - Add water and then Veggies for me that is usually a couple of Poblano Chiles sliced up - maybe some mushrooms and toss in some Oyster Sauce - at last minute some of that sauce from package but only to taste - Depending on left over meats seafood no additional sauce needed.
Hot soup goes into bowl with chunks of Cabbage which will cook just crunchy perfect
And at the very last minute - Actually I wait a couple 3 minutes and at edge of bowl I slide in and into the bottom of the bowl ON THE SIDE of the Blow Those hard as all fuck Dried Noodles - So only about 1/2 of that block gets some Hydration - Then I turn block over for the other half
Trust me on this - All they need to be is WET -
In reality I usually add Trader Joe's Pork and or Shrimp Gyoza which I cook for 3 mins max in soup and pull and hold in warm oven and add at last minute to bowl and have on side some dry mustard with ting of soy and Rice Vinegar
My Ramen beats lots of Restaurant versions and I am sure of this because of so many disappoints over time -
I do NOT claim my is better than a TRUE Ramen - Real Ramen is beyond what one can make at home - Mass of bones they boil and variety of meats cooked down.
Just as with a Bowl of Pho - some things cannot be duplicated as well at Home - But one can sure make a home brew version of Ramen to make one happy

Noodles Made In China Recalled
By Dan Flynn on January 29, 2010
Jersey City-based Well Luck Company Inc. is recalling approximately 50,000 pounds of instant noodle products made in China that were ineligible for import to the U.S., according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA’s) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
Well Luck recalled the instant noodle products because they do not meet product inspection or exemption requirements for poultry, beef, and pork. China’s inspection system for beef, poultry, and pork ingredients has not been deemed to be equivalent to the U.S. system, as required by federal regulations.
Included in the Class II (low health risk) recall are:
Cases of 12 packages containing five 110g-packs of “JIN MAI LANG Instant Noodles, Stew Beef Flavour.”
Sure there are all kinds of fuck ups when it cums to food - Don't Just Don't trust any oil imported from China because that was Oil that may have been flushed before it was bottled .
