It always amazes me that there are people who get so offended at the sight of a pride parade where people mostly go to have fun and let loose. Instead of avoiding images that may trigger negative emotions they seek them out as if they dwell on such emotions. Yet people I met who are happy in their lives don’t seem to have any issues with pride celebrations. This makes me wonder if bigotry could also stem from a sense of unhappiness in one’s personal life. But this is just an untested hypothesis.
