12c5c1e6d1afa71c0f4515055ca1ab7b1e7.gifHow can I make friends in the real world? Is there a place that I can show up to, talk to people, and make friends without seeming like a creep? I do not want to go to bars alone. It makes me look like I am just trying to pick up chicks or I'm gay and trying to pick up guys.

Amerifat. It is pretty big so there are a lot of resources if that is what you mean.

Alone? It seems creepy to do that and then start talking to random people.

Then you need to do some simple research. Hit web for Events Weekend should offer a Looooooooong list of fun things to do. People gather to have fun among other people. People also gather to do community events like cleaning up this or that. Bottom line is to get out where people gather and are active and healthy. Look for healthy events but of course a wine tasting is cool.

Just bring a conversation piece that wouldn't be out of place at a coffeeshop or bookstore, or dress like a hipster. Build a rapport with your barista/book person and then eventually talking to the other patrons that are strangers to you will get easier and less awkward, in my experience at least.
