My new BBS is mostly done; it's able to pass around threads and reply to threads among a network.
However one thing I'm a little unsure about is whether or not I should keep "sage" in my new BBS software.

The email field is entirely useless... many channers never sage.... and outsiders don't understand sage.
I also wonder, should any user be able to tag a new thread with anything they want?

OR should the OP of a thread be limited to pre-determined tags added by their node's operator?

Your thoughts are valuable, and I love you.

This new board won't be a disappointment like NNTPchan was.

just make a "don't dump" box thats basically what sage is and newfags will understand it because its to the point and not steeped in ancient chan culture.
