Topic: Anyone know anything about roofing?
+Anonymous A — 7.5 years ago #52,304
Where's a good place to learn online?
Anyone here have any experience and willing to share?
I know Omen is a carpenter, but I'm sure he has some helpful hints dealing with residential or even commercial clients. Roofing info, discuss.

It will have to do until Omen comes along. In the mean time this works and prevents Fungus among us.

No doubt Omen chooses to do master craftsmen's work. A roof is probably just to easy and pays not enough for him to do that ordinary work. I am sure he can offer advice.

I'm sorry, but sure ly dealing with fall protection from above pays mpre than indoor on the ground work. I work right now with Roof Depot out here in Florida in Panama City and I gwt paid $18 an hr... Not bragging, BTW. Plus it's sub cpntracting qith Roof Depot.
Plus it's more fun, I feel.

What advice do you need? It couldn't be simpler, just slip it into her drink when she's not looking.

What do you need to know?
@555,929 (C)
I make way more than you. I'm not bragging either, interior trim just pays more than most construction work.

This company i am with is sub contract under roof depot and rn they are kinda fucking us over woth roof jobs. Giving us the runaround. They have work for us the followong day. Come that day they tell us different.
I am out here with a bro amd we are thinking of pulling out. He's a lil more knowledge and exp than I in this field, so basically I wanna know if we should pull out and saddle on up with another contracting company and not no sub contract or like...shit I'm kinda trippin' rn. The job security I thought we once sorta had is feeling like it's slipping away. What would you do? We aren't from Florida either. Drove out here for work.
Edit: the sub contract are gpod ppl. Its roof depot that are screwing them with misinformation last minute shit.

They sound like they don't know what they are doing. Have you checked them out? I think I'd bail and try else where, guys like that are usually a little sketchy on pay also.

Omen's expert advice: keep trying different firms until you find a competent one.
