I'm A Slave To My Crack Habit, But I Want To Break It (A CrackHead's Journal)

I can only afford like a 20 piece a day, somedays a 40 if I'm lucky...

Then I sleep for 2 days straight detoxing, every other day.

It hits me like AN ORGASM IN THE BRAIN! But the high only lasts for a couple minutes, and then I am fiending for more, and scrounging through the floor and countertops for any missed crumbs...

I engage in all sorts of questionable behavior and morally-loose dialogues to obtain more crack. I have stolen, lied, cheated, and scammed to get more crack.

It is hard to face myself in the mirror. I feel like a Villain, but I don't wanna be one...

Being sober for just 5 minutes is excruciatingly-difficult for me.

I know I have promoted and glamorized crack use in the past, but I wouldn't wish this addiction on my Worst Enemy...

I want to Change and be FORGIVEN by people so Bad, But my past behavior will always be held against me..

I will NEVER GET A SECOND CHANCE with people to redeem myself.

So what's the point in going on living??

I FEEL RESTLESS when I don't get weed or crack these days. And I still have fond memories of other drugs like Acid, Molly, Shrooms, Coke, And Percocets...

Addiction has taken over my life. It has cost me My Whole Life.

I lost my friends, Several Lovers, My Condo, My Car, My Apartment/Loft, My Reputation, My Dignity, My Self-Respect, My Self-Esteem, My Sense of Purpose in Life...I have LOST MY EVERYTHING!

And what hurts the most is knowing that EVEN IF I CHANGE, I will never overcome the Stigma of Being A 'Crack-Head'. That label brands me to the Death.

I could never re-enter academia or 'Library-land' and hold a job as a Librarian or Professor, because I let my addiction make me act recklessly and do stupid things. I have a Master's degree, yet I am nearly-homeless and have been unemployed for 5 years because of my struggles with addictions and mental health.

These are the most honest, introspective, soul-searching words I have ever wrote.

I come to you tonight ON THE VERGE OF SUICIDE ONCE AGAIN, and I don't know what to do... I Have tried to pour my heart and sincerity into artistic endeavors, but Nobody listens to the shit I rap or my Rabbithole Digital Dopamine album...

I get told to kill Myself like 10 times a day online. I spend all my time on 4chan, 8ch, and Tinychan, and the hate that these sites breed infiltrates my mind and fucks with my head..

It is truly a shitty life to ALWAYS be searching for your next fix, your next hit of Dope...

I Want to extricate myself from the Sketchy Drug Scene and re-integrate myself into so-called 'High-Society'...

Weed Makes Me Paranoid, Fearful, and Lazy

When I smoke dope, I start to get all these paranoid delusions. I think that:

-People are surveil'ing or investigating me
-Peope are tapping my webmcam or hacking my computer
-Artists are writing defamatory songs about me
-I get obsessed with illness, and fear I am dying
-I start to investigate conspiracy theories online
etc...
I can't move from my bed and my legs feel all wobbly and tingly (a feeling which I like)
I even start acting child-like, and I worry that people want to harm me, a likely scenario, since I have so many enemies...
It makes me lazy and I have no motivation to do anything, like apply to jobs, look for a bigger apartment, prepare for court, etc..

I'm conflicted as to whether weed is the right drug for me...

I might just try to get sober and pick up chicks at Alcoholics & Cocaine Anonymous...

He has been admitted to the Hospital 7 times for Suicide attempts & Mental Health issues.

He is currently recovering, and receiving counseling & other services from the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Acute Care Team.

He is also attending Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, and Cocaine Anonymous, and is hoping to begin attending Church and the local Buddhist Temple.

He is currently on Disability, living in a Rooming House, and has very few clothes, food, or basic electronics (eg. no cellular phone).
Any funds donated, will go towards Food (first & foremost), hygiene products, clothing, bus passes, and miscellaneous household items.

Ryan Has his Master's Degree in Library Science, and has worked as a librarian for 5 years. He is hoping to land another librarian job, but in the meantime, any assistance helps!
