Ionno. All you need is a red and white RCA to 3.5 mm female plug, an auxiliary cable, and an RCA cable. Or a cable with RCA males on one end, and a 3.5mm male on the other.

Whatever preamplifier you have, some have al auxiliary out, in which case all you need is an auxiliary cable (3.5mm male to 3.5mm male).

With my electric acoustic I would plug in my pocket amp, and put my phone under the strings with the speaker pointed towards where the pickup was. It worked pretty well.
