Apparently you did not get an answer you like so far.

Existentialism offers the explainatation that everything and everyone shitty in this world is in direct correlations with your own actions and thoughts.

There is a lot of pain and disillusionment in this thread. I shall say a prayer for you all and I remind everyone that I am always here to offer spiritual guidance whenever you need it.

I already have a priest to talk to so I don't need a pretend one who is really a child diddler.
@550,290 (Dead !Pool..v42s)
I get the feeling that sometimes good things happen to people I most care about whenever I am in the dirt. As if I have to be miserable for them to be happy and that it is my mission to always remain miserable for their sake. Is this altruism?

It's autism.

Fuck that, just be happy in a way that is self reliant and self fulfilling, find some temp assignment for something that seems manual labor oriented, or something in manufacturing/textiles.
What the fuck is altruism cause I'm not going to look it up for this conversation.
It sounds like you might be assuming a martyr type of role, step into a role of a conscious being, and make some decisions that effect your immediate and future life

> Altruism is the principle and moral practice of concern for happiness of other human beings, resulting in a quality of life both material and spiritual. It is a traditional virtue in many cultures and a core aspect of various religious traditions and secular worldviews, though the concept of "others" toward whom concern should be directed can vary among cultures and religions.
> In an extreme case, altruism may become a synonym of selflessness which is the opposite of selfishness.
