...there is always some men to whine and complain even if the piece of work in question isn't about female empowerment and just has a female in the leading role?
This is common place on sites such as 4chan and maybe even 8chan too.
In fact, /asp/ has been bitching over an all women's wrestling show that WWE announced thinking it's some sort of feminist plot to destroy men's wrestling. Women wrestling isn't even that terrible than what it was.
They like to claim that misogyny doesn't have anything to do with it yet they act so misogynist that this is hard to believe.
