Ran out of space in the title bar again. What I wanted to say was: a heavily sedated docile child who cannot panic or struggle is by far the best way to rescue those Thai children through the miles of dark terrifing caves, and it seems that's exactly the plan they've decided upon.

The doctor with them is an anaesthesiologist apparently. Sedation makes absolute sense. We're talking about kids here after all, there is no benefit to them being sharp and alert, they won’t react to frightening situations well whatever happens. Having them in a trance like state as they are guided through the sections like rag dolls makes a lot of sense. The last thing you want is them panicking, struggling and messing with either their own or the rescuers equipment.
Continue to pray for them, everyone. They are not all out of danger yet.
