Topic: Why do FedEx and UPS think people want to add a day to the ship time, by getting USPS involved?
+Anonymous A — 8 years ago #51,047
I'm of course referring to UPS SurePost and whatever the fuck FedEx calls their service. It's only slightly cheaper than standard shipping, and adds the bullshit that comes with the USPS to the mix. Only good thing about it, your packages can be left in your postbox, if you are not home to claim them.
I really dislike these services, they aren't worth the 2 dollars you save. I'd rather pay the 2 bucks and have my package arrive more quickly. Unfortunately, they are standard shipping for several major webstores.
Rant over, autism levels returning to normal.

They'll do it regardless if it's not profitable to ship directy to your house. They'll handoff to usps and let them finish the last leg of the trip. Sometimes even they won't do it though, my own roads are so terrible usps now refuses to ship and I had to get a po box.
