Topic: You're about to be executed by lethal inj., what will be your infamous last words? Ver. 2.25
+Anonymous A — 8.3 years ago #50,033

Recently multiple hobos were executed in the US, in one instance a gentlehobo's last word
s was "Murderers!"
Not as grate as Vonnegut's suggestion:
> But listen: If anyone here should wind up on a gurney in a lethal-injection facility, maybe the one at Terre Haute, here is what your last words should be: “This will certainly teach me a lesson.”
Or as encouraging as Panzram's last words:
> "Yes, hurry it up, you Hoosier bastard! I could kill a dozen men while you're screwing around!"
But it was succinct and that must count for something.
Obviously "Sprite" is the most natural response to trüborn tinychanians, but does it carry the same weight to the ears of unenlightened executioner rubes?
Some bonus last words of the executed:
> "I did not get my SpaghettiOs, I got spaghetti. I want the press to know this."
> "I'd just like to say I'm sailing with the Rock and I'll be back like Independence Day with Jesus, June 6, like the movie, big mothership and all. I'll be back."
> "I think that governor's phone is broke. He hadn't called yet."

Last words cont.d
> Est Sularus Oth Mithas ("My honor is my life." from a fictional language in the Dragonlance novels).
> "Well, gentlemen, you are about to see a baked Appel" (the executed's name was George Appel, lel)
> "Take a step forward, lads. It will be easier that way." (dude was being executed by firing squad)
> "How about this for a headline for tomorrow's paper? French fries." (-James French. these dad joke tier name puns are hilarious as last words tbh.)
> "Hurrah for anarchy! This is the happiest moment of my life."
> “I have something to say, but not at this time.”

Far superior to last minute prayers and petitions. Grate job.

I'd look at the family of the victim, smile, and say, "This death is easier than what your ___(whomever it was I murdered) went through."

I would follow the example of Our Lord by saying "Father, into Your hands, I commend my spirit".
This is a purely academic question however since I have lived an unblemished life and would therefore not be executed.

Not really. It's common for people to shout out the thing that means the most to them just before dying.

Anon G mistook the question for what would be his deathbed confession.

RE: LW Cont'd.
> "Beam me up."
> “Tell me. After my head has been chopped off, will I still be able to hear, at least for a moment, the sound of my own blood gushing from the stump of my neck? That would be a pleasure to end all pleasures.”
> “Capital punishment: them without the capital get the punishment.”
> “You can be a king or a street sweeper, but everyone dances with the Grim Reaper.”
@540,086 (D)
Edgy, but at least it's a change of pace from most last words since they're usually apologetic.

Maybe just copy Timmy McVeigh and borrow some words from a poet instead.
“I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.”
