If Jesus's name wqs Yeshua bar Joseph (or the modern day Joshua), then why do we call him Jesus? Are people named Joshua more Christlike than Mexicans named Jesus?

'Iesous' is the Greek transliteration of the Hebrew name 'Yeshua', and its English spelling is 'Jesus.

'Christ' is Greek for 'annointed one'. It isn't his last name. His father wasn't called 'Joseph Christ', you (forgive me here please) utter simpleton. Someone named Joshua is no more "Christlike" than a Mexican named 'Jesus' for the reason that 'Christ' was a title, not a name, and has no relation to the given name.
