A bargain.

I don't see the point. I still have my Gameboy from 18 years ago, and it still works good as new. It's a very limited edition, which means it'll be worth a lot in a couple of decades.

Technical specifications from the dark ages.
CPU Custom 8-bit Sharp LR35902 at 4.19 MHz. This processor is similar to an Intel 8080 in that none of the registers introduced in the Z80 are present. However, some of the Z80's instruction set enhancements over the 8080, particularly bit manipulation, are present. Still other instructions are unique to this particular flavor of 8080/Z80 CPU. The IC also contains integrated sound generation.

It would literally be cheaper to just buy a Gameboy. Granted, that's before you buy gaems, but most GB gaems are fairly cheap.

I bought a GameBoy Color from eBay for Nostalgia purposes. I mostly wanted to start my slowpoke journey to be the very best like no one ever was. The system cost me under $30 or so dollars. I bought Pokémon Yellow and WWE Betrayal.
I wish I didn't since I forgot this system doesn't have a backlight.

Upgrade to GBA, fagit. They're cheaper, and better.

Most of the prices on eBay for GBA systems are well into the hundreds. Do you mean the first models or the second models?

My post there was perfectly on topic. This topic was about Gameboys and my post was about Gameboys.

If anybody is paying that they are fucking stupid. IDK wot terms you used in your search, but they're shitty. I'm talking about OG GBA, and SP model 1 and 2. Granted, some SPs are more expensive than gameboy color, but you can play any GB gaem. Really the only GB player worth it's cost is the GBA Player accessory for NGC. However, they are easily the most expensive, and I'm willing to bet you don't have a GameCube.

The AGS-101 models are more expensive because they have a true color backlit screen. The AGS-001 is just a widescreen GBC overlayed with a frontlight. Also the clamshell design makes them more fragile than the original GBA and GB systems. Combine that with the desirable screen light feature causing people who own both systems to prefer the SP over the original and there's a significant difference in the functional lifespan of the systems.
