No shit man... I used to leave for work about 130pm to get there by 4,leave work at midnight and walk back home.
Walked back and forth 3 1/2 miles for several months, until I saved up for a car.

Alot of people have to do something like that, at one point or another. Bert just doesn't seem to think like most people.
You have to start out on the bottom, and work your way up. It doesn't matter how smart you are, what field you work in, or who you think you are. That's just the way the world works.

Exactly bud.
So if they don't move him to first, is he going to quit?

Look guys...I'm pretty much guaranteed a job here at this place...when I interviewed for the position... I didn't know for certain what the hours were...and they didn't know I had no license..
They had told me 'second shift'...which is usually like 3:30 to 11:30...well their 'second shift' starts at 5:00 and due to recent issues the end of the shift can be 1:30 or 2:45 or 3:45 or as late as 4:30..AM..
It's about 4-5 miles from where I'm staying and in a rural area..
Thing is I believe I will get a bike and have me and my bike taken to work and ride home when I get off...BUT there is actually a couple of better positions on first shift where I can have a ride both ways..
I'm supposed to hear from the first shift boss today...possibly tomorrow..

I did not turn down anything...it is them who brought up the prospect of a first shift switch..

Fact is you could use the exercise and you have new boots. You can do the walking in under one hour after some practice.

Are you gonna pay him for the boots?
I'm sure his "long time netbuddy" wouldn't mind sparing some cash instead of shitposting, yes?

His sister paid for the boots. Please pay attention to Tinychan canon.

He already has new boots. He mooched them off his sister.

What, the "hot" sister he wants to pork in the outhouse?
·Anonymous C — 8.8 years ago, 2 minutes later, 4 hours after the original post[T] [B] #531,614

As far as I know, he only has the one.

Its your call bert. I mean like another dude said a job is a job but I would imagine with your experience on the streets walking a few miles every day would not be too bad.

Your fault. You should have stayed on second. A little walking ain't gonna kill you. Eventually, you could have gotten a ride with someone else who works second.

Do you think she would have paid for the boots if she knew he wanted to pork her in the outhouse?

@previous (G)
I would hope not.
