That sucks, bud. I'll be drinking Sprite for your safety. One of my friends was living yards from a bayou, his home is probably fucked. Any idea what it's like in the suburb of Spring, comrade?

Power was just restored and I'm back on my computer. We run off a local well so water is running again. Looks like in my area at least a lot of the water is gone but it's gone to houston proper. They're in deep shit right now.

Spring is pretty far removed from the real happenings but if he's near a bayou chances are his property is fucked although the waters may have receded by now. I think there's a mandatory evac for it right now too since it's in the direct path of the conroe dam. I'm not from that area though or travel to it often so I'm not very familiar.

Right now the eyes are on the 2 dams in houston and on harvey which is making a uturn after re-energizing in the gulf. The path he chooses will decide Houston's future for decades to come.

I should have been more clear, I have one friend that lives near a bayou, and one that lives in spring. I figured the one near the bayou was probably royally fucked, as he lives in south Houston.

Oh then the bayou dude is FUCKED. All of Houston is underwater, the gulf basically reclaimed it at this point. The dams seemed to have leveled but there's conflicting reports. Honestly I won't be going into houston itself for awhile. I was spared but because I live in between two flood plains on what is essentially a hill.

Glad to hear ya made it, bud. I know Houston is pretty much a huge shit show, right now. I hope my bayou buddy made it out ok.
