Just for the record, I think only I can see messages since they are directed at me.

I'll answer this person's question here. Sarahah is a messaging service that allows anonymous messages so you can imagine how well that will go, but they give you an option to disable it. I think it started as a way for employees to bestow complaints to one another without having to rely on Facebook, but I am not sure.
