Topic: Can Star Trek: Discovery bring back the franchise into the public's eye?

I remember back when the two biggest sci-fi franchises were Star Wars and Star Trek. Now it seems like Doctor Who replaced the latter. This new series doesn't look like it's going to last especially when they keep making changes to it. It was going to be the Prime timeline, but now it's the Abramsverse. Seth MacFarlane's The Orville will probably end up being better than this new series.

@OP
Apparently, die-hard Trekkies are far more excited about The Orville than they are about Discovery.

Star Trek, like linux, is for pedos. It's been proven. I'm not surprised both cathy AND syntax find common ground there.

You have a very strange point of view re a quality O/S Linux.

It's not a strange POV, both Linux and Star Trek are high indicators of being a pedophile and both used in conjunction all but guarantees that.
