62-1 at lunch on a weather-interrupted first morning at the Oval. Decent wicket, some early movement off the seam. Jennings out for the 3rd duck in his young career, you have to think his place in the team is under threat. Cook steadying the ship, along with an impressive debut from Tom Westley. Plenty of runs coming down the off side. Bowling wise, Philander the pick so far. Morkel's balls are too full to get any real bounce. Not much spin as yet.
Intriguing opening, will keep all you posted.

Cricket is for fags. That's why OPenis likes it.

lol I understand you guys :) I also sometimes just want to get the score, and read the write-up at the end of the day's play. That's why I'll always put the score first so you can skip the match description if you want to watch the highlights on tv at home.
First day finished 171-4, Cook with an unbeaten 82. It's good to see a more attritional, patient batting performance than last game. I've said it before and I'll say it again - 20/20 is ruining test cricket. Solid defensive back-foot play from Cook and Root. All wickets fell to unplayable deliveries so there can be no complaints.
Interesting day ahead tomorrow.

Why the need to be so abusive and insulting? If you don't like something, simply don't worry about it and move on. I've clearly signposted what this thread is about so why are you even in here? Do you have nothing better to do with your life?

Don't you have some demons to exercise? Are you just going to let that poor girl puke green slime, and turn her head 360 degrees?

No, their fitness is their own affair. I merely exorcise them.

269-6 at lunch on day 2. Stokes digging in with a spirited unbeaten 64, Cook falling 12 short of a 31st century, LBW which he failed to overturn via DRS. Wicket still lively, plenty of movement. Solid middle order batting from England as usual, it's the top order where there are problems (over-reliance on Surrey and Essex down the years?). You have to think 350 is par score from here, anything above that is potentially match-winning. This pitch with decay in the next 2 days, mouth-watering for Moeen Ali. Will keep you posted.
·Father Merrin !u5oFWxmY7U (OP) — 8.9 years ago, 1 day later, 2 days after the original post[T] [B] #526,763
Sorry for the late update guys, I was out all day taking the wife shopping.
South Africa skittled out for 175, England closing play on 74-1 on a rain hit day. Forecast good for the next 2 days though, so victory should be a formality at this point. Story of the day is debutant Toby Roland-Joes getting a 5-for, and bwoling some sublime out-swingers. Pitch still lively, plenty of bounce and movement off the seam. A 350 lead will be unassailable I think.

Victory!!!!! England seal the win with a hat-trick from Moeen to take a 2-1 lead into the final test. Superb bowling from all concerned, and a good disciplined batting performance, especially from the top order.

I and probably others come to this thread to read and discuss cricket. Not creepy child molestation fantasies like this. Cut it out.

Which is why TG needs to go. His fantasies involve children. I'm sure you can read about a boring game without a child molesting TG as a host.

This will get you started. If you have any questions about things you don't understand (don't worry, it can be a complicated game at times!), let me know, I'll be glad to help. Happy reading! :)

Complex, yes. Boring, well, that's all subjective. What one person finds boring, another finds interesting, something which is true of every form of entertainment.

The 4th and final test match begins today and will end on Tuesday. England 67-1 at lunch, Cook proving a confident mid-30s knock with some sublime ground strokes and off cutters. Jennings falling cheaply again, you have to think that's the end of his test career. The search for a solid number 2 goes on.
