So and bert No's Anon H is Thee - I submitted your question to the world wide web - Turns out its a cost benefit ratio. Sinking it for a test to see if you can sink it LoL - aka Play toy to see if the cannons still work on the other ships. Target practice
Also its costly to cut something like that up and recycle - A super fast skim of a couple paragraphs of this
