I thought it was pretty neat. It's a shame that we waste resources arresting or fining people for re/using materials that have been trashed.

If I was in his shoes I'd embrace freeganism and routinely hit places like Whole Foods for grub. Not to mention other stores known to throw out usable merchandise like cosmetics and electronic stores, then I'd try to sell that stuff on the street corner instead of selling my ass for alcohol.
