Used to live in Daytona Beach too.... I was there last year and it's turning into the ghetto.
They no longer have spring break there, and only when the Daytona races, and bike week in March, those are the only time business really kicks up there. Other than that, it's dead, except for dopeheads, hookers, and crime.

If you do hit Daytona Beach, visit the boardwalk on the beach. Bunch of little surf shops, game rooms, food, beer, pier. There's also a few rides there, roller coaster, go karts, Slingshot, and I think a merry go round.

Daytona beach was pretty chill. The rollercoaster was broke same goes for this twirl a whirl thing. Besides that pretty chill everything else. Boardwalk, pier, etc. Saw a couple of bums. This one bum gave my girl a rose made outta palm leaves
