I did not 'steal' containers of water. I merely carried a twenty gallon tote about forty feet from where I stay...to the building next door and filled it up at their water outlet...and washed my clothes..
maybe it was ten cents worth of water...or less..

So my guess is that you never went hiking on a trail where WE ALL carry our water for the day in Jugs/Canteens/ Water bottle

In other words you failed to provide the receipts in mail.
And yes one usually has to correspond when money is important. Clearly your priority was not exactly wot is necessary if you want to eat. Hell he even said you could drink which in my opinion is a total waste of any help.

Ooh, he carried a 20 lb backpack for weeks.. before he found his camp.
And he has water 20 feet away.
He'd never survive hiking the PCT, or the Appalachian Trail. Out there, we have a time table to get to from point A to point B. There are times there's no water supply for 15-20 miles.
The Appalachian Trail is rough. But Bert's to much of a pussy to hike it.
He has to stay in town for the free handouts.
