Get your life back together while you still can, because you clearly won't get another chance.

By all measures its too late. From what i know he's in his laye 40s with no skills no savings not even an address.
What can he possibly save at this point?

He can apply for jobs, but he says they all drug test and he's not clean.
Fuck him.

Honestly the drug's arent the problem. Employers will overlook that if its just a little weed. The real issue is his homelessness. Thats something vwry hard to get out of.
Of course Bert is to blame gere too since from the sound of it his family was helping him until he pissed them off.

I don't think he'll do much, but doing something is better than nothing.

Apart from alcohol, what could he actually afford to use? It just doesn't seem like a real excuse since he shouldn't be able to maintain a habit with what he's doing.

He said his hobo friends share drugs with him.

I think his PO would be drug testing him once in a while, if not weekly.
The thing that'd last the longest might be cannabis, but it's not like he couldn't turn that down if he wanted to.

Hobo cred is worth more than getting his life back together.

I'm sure he already tried sharing needles and now has FND and stuff worse than that.
Better avoid personal contact with him.

No worries, my restraining order against him should last for another six months.
