Its because macs were designed for friendly computing from the get go.

Windows is literally for office drones while linux is for tinkering on a project that will never be done. Mac took the best of both world and combined them into a nice package.

Beyond servers there are the mass of mobile devices Phones Tablets etc and most use Android which is Linux - Some nerd will argue that 80% of the smartphone market actually uses as its core ARM and yes that is the internal Kernel but for programming the phone for all applications it is Android aka Linux

To be even more fair we have Apple aka Macs and Iphones and they use UNIX. So that leaves the non Apple Microshit with MS whatever and the US Gov still uses a mass of OLD MS shit. I am currently playing with Win10 BUT Cannot use it for business stuff cause so far no IT manager has approved it and we are talking about the Multi Billion Corps I consult4

Getting approval for Win10 was a rare win for me but I am limited to play only and so far only a couple of crashes. I am still finding old MS errors on occasion.

I have 7 but only 5 powered on UNIX workstations. All text based GUI. 28 to 46 open and running windows on each of them and never EVER a single crash or glitch. My Linux experience is limited but I have yet to use a UNIX command that does not work on Linux -
