Ah yes well hummmm - Really dirt cheep Microwave ovens eliminate the turntable. What you end up with is uneven heating over the surface area. Really much to complex to explain unless someone wants to see my list of the multiple problems going turntable free. Exception to this are the top of the line Microwave ovens like the new one I just had installed. It is a matter of spreading the radiation evenly inside the box and this ends up a difficult technical problem because of er very very difficult to splain all that is a super simple technical circuit to produce the RF energy with super difficult issues about what the food contains - Water molecules are ideal UNLESS the water is frozen and food with fats and sugars present issues that create hot spots.
Bottom line is - Cost of making one work with the turntable ends up simple and non turntable that performs just as well ends up Expensive.
Now and then I will take a microwave oven apart for various stuff. Most recently to melt some glass to attempt to fix a broken stem of a Lead Crystal glass which had sentimental value. My repair was most perfect until it just fell apart while simple sitting on a shelf. Drove me nuts a bit trying to fix it again to have it again fall apart and I did hard core tests of strength of the joint I made.
Drives me more nuts being told the only solution is to use a glue but at least I understand the physics/chemistry as to why I cannot melt and connect Lead Crystal to ordinary glass.
Also to point out that Microwave ovens work in the same band as many a Cell system including my Globalstar Satellite system. Direct adjacent band.

Dry as in just nitrogen or carbon dioxide in gas form ONLY - No problem. Sand and SALT - SALT are you kidding? Sand not so much so good if it gets into the turntable drive as you can understand. If under pressure and if it got past the bearing of the motor drive Yuck - Bet that could be just a tooth brush cleaning - Salt on the other hand and any moisture and I dare not imagine wot would happen if that got into the wave guide (tube) that feeds the Kilowatts from the Magnetron RF Tube to the oven itself and that is a very short connection so getting sand if clean sand inside that section might not be a problem but SALT - Yikes that wood be just horrid.
So my story. New Mexico Chile wreaths are often seen on a front door or near by on the outside. When I had a condo on the water front in Marina del Rey California I decorated the kitchen in mostly New Orleans stuff/theme and hung a couple of these over a kitchen bar. Looked terrific until one day when I noticed a mass of worms - The chilies get a moth that lays eggs and they hatch inside the chilies.
Not wanting to dispose of my very decorative item I said to self hell just put it in the Microwave and that will kill all them critters inside the chilies and solve the problem. In maybe 2 minutes the chilies caught on fire and what a fucking mess with mass of worms coming out the so called sealed door of that oven.
The engineer in me said I can fix that oven. Opened up the guts took one look and disposed of it as well as whatever chilies were left.
I put out that fire with Nitrogen.

Having zero expertise of what they put inside the canister besides the gas listed I have no clue what that stuff you see is
