A Westerner I know married a Chinese girl. He says that now, her family gives him literally no privacy or free time ever. They go to their house every single day, including early in the morning on Saturdays. They always ask him for money and take over his kitchen and start cooking without asking. Even when he is taking a shit, they walk into the bathroom to do something or the other, and talk to him while he is shitting. He literally no longer has any concept of personal space or privacy. Is that normal?
