Just a few days ago, Reagan Tokes was excited about graduation."Today my dad emailed me diploma frames and told me to pick one out and I'd be lying if I said I didn't tear up," the Ohio State University student tweeted on Feb. 5.
That was her last tweet.
Her body was found four days later near a park about 10 miles outside of the university in Columbus, Ohio. Police said she had been shot.
Tokes, a 21-year-old psychology major, was just three months away from graduating.
Authorities think a convicted sex offender who was recently released from prison is responsible for her death. Brian Golsby, 29, was charged on Saturday with aggravated murder, kidnapping and aggravated robbery. A rape charge was added shortly after.
Citing a criminal complaint, NBC affiliate WCMH-TV reported that Golsby admitted kidnapping Tokes on Wednesday when she was walking to her car. Golsby then forced her to withdraw $60 from her bank account and then drove her car to Scioto Grove Metro Park, WCMH-TV reported. Her body was found near the park entrance Thursday afternoon.
