It can be. Esp. deep sea fishing. Other forms of fishing are okay too... but I couldn't get into it as an every day or every weekend thing like some people.

Just start out small and build up your arsenal and band of pirates. Although as a pirate lord you know you'll have to flay alive anyone that might engage in mutiny. Maybe chum the water with their blood and bits and feed them alive to some sort of radiated shark mutant things near Japan. It'll be costly, but it'll send a message to other would be mutineers.
