I do think the next level of domestic terror will arise right as the general populace become aware of the corruption.

The CIA, NSA, arms manufacturers etc. all need constant conflict to provide funds and weapons sort of like sports teams are always gouging the students for better football gear while the student's grades slip and the school deteriorates, and most schools don't even win.
