I already put in a request for a referral extension to my endocrinologist's office. This, for some reason, is the only way they take my low tier insurance. The one downside of the Affordable Care Act is that the only choices that those who cannot afford the better insurance companies have are the shitty low tier free ones. Why the fuck isn't this something that Americans pay taxes for? I mean, we pay taxes for police and fire and those are services that protect us. Doesn't the government want healthy citizens? Don't citizens want to live in a country where if they somehow got stuck in a ghetto the least of their worries is catching the plague? It always intrigued me why people didn't want to pay for a service that would benefit them and everybody.
Nobody likes taxes, but they are something citizens agree to by living in a country with basic services for survival.

I know this has the least bit of chance of occurring as Trump is a businessman and a Republican who has corporation's best interests over that of the people despite his usual rhetoric, but I hope "insurance for everyone" is code for universal healthcare.

The only thing my insurance will cover are hormones as they are considered medication and the surgery, but I honestly have no fucking idea what I would need to pay out of pocket. I mean, I have some idea as far as the more cosmetic stuff, but yeah. There are strange clauses like "is it necessary?" So don't feel so bad about your funds going completely toward my sex change, but thank you for the hormones, though. ^_^

Actually over half of it goes to Israel and Afghanistan, only a tiny sliver of our federal tax budget goes to our own domestic welfare programs. Our own space program gets even less.
